Specification

The AS-1140 provides 16 independent channels for monitoring and uses BNC style connectors. Two rows of sixteen BNC connectors are located along the rear panel of the chassis and are electrically tied together.

The input connectors located at the bottom row connect the transducers to be monitored. The output connectors situated at the top row feed the raw transducer signals to the main monitoring system.

Each input is also routed through a high voltage buffer amplifier to a second set of outputs located on the front panel. These buffered outputs provide a means of connecting test equipment to the transducer monitoring system without disturbing the raw sensor signal. The buffered outputs reproduce the input signal within an accuracy of +/- 1%.

An LED indicator for each channel gives sensor signal status: shorted sensor or cable (red), open or disconnected cable (off), and normal (green). An LED indicator on the left side of the front panel indicates voltage status to the AS-1140. When the unit is powered, the indicator will be lit (green). The 16 input channels can be independently configured to excite piezoelectric transducers such as accelerometers.
